Back to overview

Sales is a primary process for any public transportation company. The complexity of the sales process is increasing due to the increasing competition and the expectations of consumers. Innovation, revenue management, personalisation and multi-channel are all necessary to operate successfully. Sqills has successfully completed several implementations with international customers, including OUIBUS, OUIGO, Izy and Irish Rail. We are now finishing up on our largest implementation to date: Eurostar.

Sqills is opening a new office in Paris to serve our (future) customers in France and the nearby region. In the Paris office, business consultants and customer support engineers will work closely with the product owners and DevOps teams in Enschede (the Netherlands).

We attribute our success to the involvement of our more than 150 employees. If you have what it takes, we want you to join Sqills and join us on our journey to become the global number one company for sales and ticketing systems for public transport companies.

What are you going to do?

We are actively looking for an international business consultant with experience as a (product/ implementation) consultant within complex IT projects (with a turnaround of 6–24 months). In the role of business consultant, you guide the customer in configuring the business processes within our product, S3 Passenger. S3 Passenger enables you to work with the most modern sales and distribution suite on the market for bus and train carriers.

Oftentimes the system to be replaced is almost entirely custom built. As a consultant, you play an important role in helping the organisation understand and fully utilise the capabilities of the S3 Passenger software suite. Naturally, customisation within a project of this scope is unavoidable. For example, the connection between the Accounting, Inventory, CRM and Revenue Management systems. You are also responsible for the functional connectivity of these systems and occasionally deal with also other components such as online stores or other front-end applications.

Part of the job (giving workshops, discuss requirements etc.) takes place at the customer’s location, both inside and outside France. You will also spend time in Enschede, at our new headquarters, to work together with our DevOps teams.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has demonstrative experience and success as a consultant. You offer advice related to crucial business insights for our customer, which means that they expect a sparring partner who has proven themselves. You are able to interpret the current trends of the transport sector and understand how Sqills offers added value. You remain critical but always think in solutions. We would prefer a colleague who has a background as a Software Developer or Information Analyst. This experience allows you to go more in-depth into the subject matter.

What  are looking for;

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree;
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience as a consultant on the supplier side;
  • Demonstrable experience in translating business objectives into IT needs (infrastructure, systems);
  • Experience within an IT or Public transport environment is a benefit;
  • Excellent communication skills in both French (C2 Level) and English.
  • You can read situations and communicate in a tactful manner;
  • International experience is a benefit;
  • Willingness to travel to customers worldwide.

Moving forward with our procedure

  • An introductory meeting (via Skype, with our Corporate Recruiter in Enschede) where we tell you all about the Business Consultancy Traineeship;
  • Assessment and second interview with us at the Paris office;

The entire application process will take place in English, applications without cover letter will not be processed.
