Arriva Nederland is a public transportation operating company. Their services include public transportation by bus, train and waterbuses in 6 provinces of the Netherlands. For Arriva's purpose of selling their own travel products, Sqills build a Webshop including its Backoffice solution ASSIST to configure product and tariff structures as well as handling the sales workflow processes and customer service.
Via the Arriva Webshop passengers order desired products to be placed onto their OV-Chipcards
(public transport smart card). This requires a product-, tariff- and price-structure configuration
via the ASSIST Backoffice, as well as interfacing between the Arriva system and the Trans Link
System (TLS), where Arriva gains and facilitates necessary information and action details about
OV-cards and product orders.
Data about product orders can be consulted via ASSIST for customer service purposes. The system is being extended to fully support the billing of products sold via the Webshop and the ASSIST Backoffice. It will also include features to administrate debtor information and debt amounts.
